  • What is MATCHA?
    Matcha is powdered steamed, dried tea leaves. The tea powder is completely dissolved in water, so you can consume the entire tea leaf. MATCHA contains 10x as many antioxidants as green tea. A cup of Matcha contains less caffeine than a cup of coffee. To prepare MATCHA you will need: *MATCHA * Chawan or a bowl * Chashaku or a teaspoon * Bamboo Whisk or an electric milk frother The side explains in detail how to prepare MATCHA.
  • Why is MATCHA  so expensive ?
    The production process is labour-intensive. The tea leaves are protected from direct sunlight about 2 weeks before harvest. This produces more chlorophyll. The youngest leaves are picked, steamed, dried and ground by a granite grinding stone into a fine powder. Do you know that it takes an hour for 40 grams of Matcha to be ground into a fine powder?
  • Which MATCHA should I choose?
    The best MATCHA comes from Japan There are different grades : Ceremonial grade, Organic, Daily, Culinary. It depends a bit on what the MATCHA wants to use for. All our MATCHA'S are Ceremonial Grade, except Culinary. *Superior Ceremonial is of high quality suitable for making a delicious cup of MATCHA. *Organic Ceremonial is the highest quality organic MATCHA. *Daily Ceremonial is just like Ceremonial, has a good price/quality ratio. *Culinary is very suitable for use in lattes, smoothies and desserts. PLEASE NOTE MATCHA IS NOT CERTIFIED, anyone can call their ground tea leaves MATCHA.
  • What is the difference between green and black tea?
    *Green tea is steamed and dried after harvesting to prevent fermentation. Black tea is fermented to get the stronger taste. *Green tea contains more antioxidants and less caffeine (20mg per cup). Black tea contains fewer antioxidants and more caffeine (40mg per cup). The higher the temperature of the water, the more caffeine is released Green tea is brewed at a lower temperature and has a shorter steeping time Green tea is the least processed tea. All beneficial substances such as catechin and antioxidants remain optimally intact through the production process. Moreover, green tea is delicious, pure and brilliant GREEN.
