    What is Gyokuro?
    GYOKURO is grown in Uji, where the misty climate, rolling hills, warm days and cool nights provide an ideal environment for growing high-quality tea. Gyokuro is the finest type of Japanese tea and is grown almost exclusively in the Kyoto region. Of the many regional varieties, Gyokuro from Uji is the best. Gyokuro is carefully grown in the shade for 20 days, protected by a Jikagise, (traditional canopy), before being harvested. GYOKURO SUPERIOR is of high quality and has a few unique characteristics, elegant aroma, sweet taste and emerald green color.

  • PREPARATION

    GYOKURO SUPERIOR is Gyokuro of the highest quality

    Preparation :

    Tea leaves: 1.5 tbsp (7-8g)

    Water temperature is low: 60º-70º.

    Amount of water: 200ml

    Waiting time: 1.5 - 2min.

    Add up to 3x water

    The brittle needles must be able to unfold completely during brewing
